10-12 microns build on clear coat,
I was watching a YouTube video by “pan the organizer” about SEMA he was interviewing the opti main guy not the Dr. It was the pr/marketing guy and he quoted that the new clear coat restorer would add 10-12 micron build I figure that is still smaller than the eye could see but I know coatings are in the 1-2 area. He also said the stuff is permanent clear coat. Does anyone know about this new product. I know of 1 other type of process like this but it’s not a brand on here. They better be making a lot of this stuff and opti has good reputation. Anyone know price range?

That product isn't out yet and there is no pricing. 10-12 microns is a lot and if it goes on like a coating they'd better be making a lot of it because that's pretty much the holy grail. Got swirls? Don't polish them out, fill them in with clearcoat restorer.

The most that I have seen from a coating was 6 microns. Most coatings are around 3 microns, so 10-12 microns is a big improvement.

OPT Clearcoat Restorer is a very promising product but it won’t be without caveats.
There are a couple of other vids (I think the Autogeek vid is one of them) that mention specific uses for the product and old mate OPT is pretty careful about what he says the product can and can’t do.
It’s definitely a watch-this-space-carefully product.

If it works, keeping in mind that Dr. G is the pioneer in clear coat development. It would be the best product of the year and perhaps the decade.
