Ratio for foam gun
Hello,
I received a foam gun for my birthday last week and I'm trying to find a good ratio for it. It is the half gallon size. I would like a ratio that produces a good amount of foam but also doesn't use a whole lot of soap. I'm planning on using Meguiar's Hyper Wash.
Thanks

Re: Ratio for foam gun
Keep in mind ratios are also dependent on your water hardness - The harder the water the more soap needed.

I do have hard water. I was thinking about mixing the soap with distilled water in the foam gun. It might help a little.

Re: Ratio for foam gun
try using 2-4 ounces (experiment using more or less as you use it more) of car soap and slide the brass bar to your liking for the mixed ratio that suits your needs. btw, i love the foam gun and often use it with just one rinse bucket...

What's your preferred soap? Do you use that amount of soap in a 64 oz foam gun?

Re: Ratio for foam gun
As much as I hate math, this is just a math problem, which I think we have been through before. Here's a pretty good discussion:
