Getting good results using SuperClean on tires...
I've been getting good results (I think) cleaning tires with Superclean. I've used it 1:1 with good results, I will try 2:1 next time (water:superclean). It's a purple colored degreaser concentrate sold in Walmart etc., which I've found works better than all the other brands of cleaner/degreasers by far for other uses.
Have any of you guys used Superclean for your tires ? I don't know if this is a base or an acid. I'm also using Megs Wheel Brighter 1:1 for my wheels after I clean the tires with Superclean.

I am always looking for the perfect tire cleaner. In my current arsenal I have Meguiars D143, Bleche White, Adams Tire and Rubber Cleaner, LA Awesome and Mothers Back to Black. LA Awesome is the most economical because you can find it in the Dollar Store. They all seem to have the same effectiveness with the edge going to Adams and Mothers. I have not tried Superclean yet but it sounds interesting.

Super Clean is all I use on tires. I use at 4:1 with good results and I like the fact I can go to my local Wally World and pick it up.

I've used it as "weak" as 10:1 on tires and it still does a great job! My standard dilution ratio for it is either 4:1 or 5:1 and there hasn't been a tire I can't get clean.
The only time I use it full strength is if I use the foaming aerosol can.

I use it around 8:1. Wheels tires, engine bay and exhaust tips. I just used it to clean the tile in the basement floor that has not been cleaned in prob 20 years. this stuff works great on almost every thing I have tired.

I used to use Super Clean (both the concentrate and the foaming can) and it was ok for a while. Until I tried Nanoskin Multi Clean. This stuff is super cheap and it plain works!
Currently using 1:1 for tires. And although both I believe are different in its makeup, I found that when I sprayed a tire down with Super Clean, scrubbed and rinsed. And then followed up with Nanoskin, there was a sort of weird film leftover on the tire from using the Super Clean. Hard to describe but its as if I was actually trying to scrub off residue from Super Clean. I now only use the Nanoskin.
Usually two applications with Nanoskin on a dirty tire (not washed in over a month) does the trick.

Is the Superclean a once and done product? Depending on how bad the tires are to start with, I have scrubbed 3 and 4 times with the current cleaners I have been using. The Mothers Back to Black works well after one treatment but one bottle only lasts me 6 tires. If the Superclean works that well, it will be a lot more economical.

With a pH of 12.5-13.8...“SuperClean-ing”
tires would be like giving them the ol’
(steel) wire-brush treatment, IMO.
Wonder what it’s doing to the wheels?

When used straight I can vouch for it completely stripping off ceramic coatings. I sprayed it on my wife's wheels and lower rockers and it pulled the coating right off. Have since re-purposed it to engine cleaning and wheel wells only but never at full strength.
Back to the OP'er the best cleaner for the cheap is bleach white. I buy it by the gallon and it's my go-to for tires. Removes even the worst blooming and gunk with ease.

I think most APC's or tire cleaners would be comparable.
