    New car!

I finally went and bought the car I've wanted since i was 16!

2004 mach 1, azure blue with a 5 speed manual and the mach 1000 system New car!

Getting her prepped for full paint correction and ceramic coating right now. Then its off to the bodyshop to repaint that fugly hood!

Anyways, i noticed the shaker hood scoop has faded a bit so im gonna hit it with some solution finish. I was wondering, would it be a good idea to apply a ceramic coating over solution finish?

I would strongly recommend you wait until the body shop work is complete before you correct and protect.

To answer your question yes some have topped solution finish with CarPro DLUX. I would just use solution finish and then seal it with something like Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant. I didn't notice much of a performance difference with topping SF with DLUX or WETS.

I am going to have to agree. The body shop will more than likely wipe the car down or wash it upon delivery and mess up the finish.

Congrats! Love that color! Cool car! Looking forward to final pics!

And I mirror the above comments, unless you are taking the hood off and just delivering it to them...body shops tend to make a mess outta things.

It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

    Re: New car!

Hi all, thanks for the input! Sorry for the late response, i just spent the last 8 hours polishing glass (never again lol)

I'll probably pull the hood and have it sent to the bodyshop. It's pretty convenient actually as i work at a used car dealership and my boss owns 2 bodyshops!

So ontop of getting a phat discount, i also know the guy who does all the painting very well New car!

Will post pictures when all is said and done!
