Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
So the ES was a little dusty the past couple days so I decided to get after it this morning, it's 50 degrees and clear, beautiful out
I looked at my current pre-wash soaps and decided to use my Griot's Garage foaming surface wash because the bottle was almost empty. I also added some Auto-Fanatic Snow Foam to get it up to the line, added some warm water and got out there
I started by foaming each tire/wheel/well and used my Speed Master and Mother's wheel brush. I then used the remainder solution on the ES, it rained overnight and there were lots of beads. Because it was cool out I let the pre-wash dwell a little longer and went inside to get some drying towels. I grabbed my biggest Big Blue drying towel (remember these OG's) and a Dry me a River for clean up duty. Because it was cool out I knew it wasn't going to dry completely but that's ok, it will in a bit. I used the Dry me a River for smaller areas, door jams and just the wheels, different towel to dry the tires. After rinsing it off using the free flowing water was very important with the cool temps, waaaaay less beads.
I wanted to use a drying aid and saw my bottle of Beadmaker was almost empty to I grabbed it during the drying process. I had enough to do all the painted areas except the very rear, for that I used Adam's CS3 (regular formula)
I now have a clean car and 2 less bottles on the shelf, progress When I take my daughter to her appointment in a couple hours I'm going to apply a coat of Dream Maker, not much time left to use it

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
After cleaning and coating the wheels on the Buick last week, the wife took the car out on Wednesday night after a day of rain. I saw the results when she got home. I was able to do a waterless wash on the paint with Griots Best of Show Detailer but I wanted to try something different with the wheels. I tried my Griots Pump Foamer for the first time. I like foam.
I mixed 2 ounces of Megs D101 with 50 ounces of water and it produced a thick clingy foam that started working on the wheels before I used the wheel woolie. Next I would like to try it with car soap.
Griot?s Garage Pump-Up Foamer
I believe in treating everybody with respect, and clean cars. That’s what I believe in.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
After the PDR guy performed his magic on my roof dent this afternoon I inspected the area. He did say he was using hot glue and I'm sure assorted tools to get it out but I noticed some "blemishes". I grabbed Griot's Garage Complete Compound and a mf applicator and after 3 attempts by hand I got it out. I applied Adam's spray graphene to the area to restore protection.
I didn't watch the guy work on my car because I'm not like that but he was out there well over an hour and had lamps and all types of toolboxes, pretty interesting work

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
This weekend's detail was a small one. Just ceramic refresh to get them through to next fall. This particular one came in after the owner used some improperly REALLY High pH products to clean it thus etching into the coating a bit. It still performed okay but not up to the higher hydrophobic levels it should even given its age.
Anyway, she's washed, decontaminated and revitalized, and ready to take on the elements.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
Was planning to give it a foam wash with the last of my Bowden's Snow Job, then a one bucket wash with Gyeon Bathe+ I've had for a while, can't remember using it on the FJ before. Perfect conditions, overcast and cool. I got as far as the foam wash and it's started to rain. So I just rinsed the foam off, may still do the Bathe+ wash later, or tomorrow.
