My 261k mile “mini van” got pampered today with a coat of Collinite 845.

I remember seeing a video somewhere about why Honda Odyssey's always have after market wheels on them, why is this?

Congrats on the mileage, how many timing belts have you done?

I dropped something under my driver's seat, had to look underneath to find it. I really should stop eating lunch in the car, it was disgusting, so no before pics. Vacuumed it out, sprayed it with Bowden's Vinyl Care, a couple of times, really let it soak in. Wiped it down with an old near end of life MF. The joys of having a vinyl floor, and rubber mats. Done in 45 minutes. Drivers side mat shows 70,000km worth of wear, rears are originals at 200,000km.What did you do today, in regards to detailing?-psx_20210915_142824-jpgWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?-psx_20210915_142935-jpgWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?-psx_20210915_143052-jpg

Yes, yes and yes! Love the vinyl floors in my Ranger. I'm a gardener, so you can imagine my boots, and floors, can get pretty grotty, like this -

For whatever reason, Ford don't fit attachment points and don't sell factory mats to fit the vinyl floor Ranger's. The ones I had no attachment points, not ideal or especially safe.

Just recently I shelled out for these 3D Mats which have an adhesive mat the sits under them.

I love them, they keep all the debris contained. Remove, shake off and rinse and refit.

I know it seems like a waste of time considering the floor is already rubber, but being a manual, I would have worn through the factory floor by now.

Got some red and blue bucket dollies delivered today. They now match the Gamma Seal lids.

    Behold my life's work!

These replace two plain black ones I got from a big-box store.

I have the 3D Maxpider mats in my Golf. (guessing same company as the 3D maxtrac)
    I like them a lot.
They don't get slippery when wet and they look decent.

Noticed a very small (maybe 3x12mm) dull spot on the ZRX gastank. But seeing as you have to basically be on your knees looking up at it I think I can live with it for now, specially as I just graphened* it twice. It's on the white stripe which is actually vinyl, not paint, but it does have CC over it.

*is that a word? Well it is now.

I turned my friend on to machine polishing.

We did his 5 week old Bronco after work tonight.

I let him use my G9, while I worked the drivers side with my GG6.

It was his first time, but he got the hang of it pretty quick.

    He’s wanting a G9 now------- He's HOOKED!!

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

So they're resurfacing the road next to my work so the ES has been getting hammered with dust in the air everyday since Monday, today was time for a wash.

I added 4 ounces of IGL Blizzard to my CG's foam gun and got after it. This produced big, fluffy foam and I let it dwell. While that was going I cleaned the tires/wheels with Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner and 3 brushes and rinsed down, then rinsed down the rest of the ES. To my surprise the 2x's Dream Maker was BEADING up but I noticed a light coat of dust STILL on the paint, it was pretty thick to begin with, 3 days worth, so had to get after thisWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I decided to do a Feynlab WW after rinsing the ES with free flowing water following the pre-wash foam. I used 4 towels to knock this out and then the ES was clean. I used my mini Master Blaster to dry the tires, wheels, grills and mirrors.

Now had the dust been washed away after the rinse I was going to try Dream Maker as a drying aid but since I did the Feynlab WW the paint was dry...perfect time for another application of Dream Maker, I mean I had it out, why not use it, rightWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I gave the tires a 303 Tire cleaner wipedown and once they fully dry I'll add "something" to them. I did the usual Daddy/daughter mat vac and sprayed some CG's Signature scent in thereWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?

    ***EDIT***

Tires topped with Auto-Fanatic tire dressing (it was looking lonely in there and put it to use, looks very nice!)
