Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
I took the FJ to the spray car wash today, to get the dirt off from my little adventure yesterday. Then did a 2B wash with Meg's Gold Class.
Had to modify my method, it 24C, about 75F, today, with low humidity and a bit windy, and it's mid winter. So I washed, rinsed and dried a section at a time, to avoid watermarks. It was drying so fast I barely kept up with it.

But pretty good imo. As im a clean glass lover also
I'll give it a try next time i need some. I hate it when your following another car, and they have a really dirty windscreen, and you can tell it's on the inside, I think to myself, how can you see through that, and how does it get that bad. Some people just don't care, I suppose.

I think you'll love the G9. I know mine is a dream to use.
Let us know how the Complete Compound works. Have you used their Fast Correcting Cream? That stuff is magic in a bottle, IMO.
Are you talking about the Synthetic Clay disc? If so, it works very well. One thing I have found with this product (vs. regular clay) is that you need to use PLENTY of lube, and use a lighter touch with a few more passes.
I will also add some of the lube to the rinse bucket. Does this really help? I'm not sure, but it makes me feel better somehow.........
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

I have a little laugh when i see people driving into the sun and they put their windscreen wipers on trying to clean it and i say it's on the inside.
I was at the milkbar a couple weeks back and saw a guy SPIT onto a cloth and clean his windscreen.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
I’ve been slacking off lately and have let my car go without protection for the past few months. So yesterday, once the sun cooled off I decided I’d give it a quick detail to bring it back to where it outta be.
1st. I did a test spot with Meguiars Ultimate Wheel Cleaner to check and see if it needed iron decon.
It got a Little bit of color change, almost borderline, but just enough to go ahead and spray the entire car.
-Iron decon
-Rinse.
-Bucket wash.
-Rinse & Dry.
-Claybar w/Pinnacle Poly Clay.
Similar to the iron decon, not too bad, but just enough to make it worth doing. Only the horizontal panels. The vertical panels had no contaminants on my test spot.
I’m going to give the entire car a quick polish in the morning, then it’ll be back on track.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
Received my big order of stuff for my cars yesterday. a full array of Pads(Griots microfiber, griots orange, rupes yellow, etc), griots compound , a new g9 polisher , Some essence polish, and some griots synthetic clay along with some other things.
Ive been toying with the idea of offering detailing to the local car community. pretty limited in scope maybe 2 cars a month, mid level stuff. today i ordered The supplies to make that happen. Im not planning to charge enough to make the chemicals i use on my own cars cost effective. 13 bucks for 16 oz of adams interior detailer makes less sense than a gallon of meguiars quick interior detailer, and so on. So in that vein i ordered:
Meguiars quick interior detailer d149 gallon
Meguiars APC d101 gallon
m105 32 oz
m205 32 oz
Meguiars d155 Last touch spray 1 gal
wheel cleaner 1 gallon (it was on sale and i really like it for my own stuff)
Meguiars Synthetic sealant 2.0 16 oz.
Id like to get more of the synthetic sealant, and a bulk of glass cleaner but i have enough for now.

I ordered some new shoes for the ES which will be coated once I get some miles/cleanings on them. I went with Continental DWS06 Plus, went up to a 235/40/18. I'm going to do ONE tire with Optimum tire coating and see what happens. Others have good luck and I haven't, so we'll see. If it doesn't work it's Feynlab Black Velvet
