You and I do a very different kind of detailing.

45 minutes to me is closer to a single panel than a whole vehicle.

Heck, I probably spend 45 minutes throughout the process just inspecting my work when doing an entire vehicle.

    Lock Down Day 11 -

Having worked it hard over the weekend, the Ranger deserved some love today.

I was wincing the whole time as I drove through that muddy landscape supply yard.

    Started today with the mats.

It was then onto LOTS of pressure rinsing, I even did the under-body, chassis rails, spare wheel and tray underside.

After the rinse, it was onto the tray with some foam and a brush.

Wheels and tires next, Brake Buster the weapon today.

The body was pre-foamed and rinsed to loosen the bulk of contaminants prior to the contact wash. Today's drying aid of choice was Bead Maker.

And yes, I put Bead Maker on the tray as well.

Onto the interior and those muddy pedals.

I can now sleep tonight, the Ranger is back to spec.

Tried Megs D107 Citrus Power Cleaner Plus on floor mats. Worked well as expected.

Very Cool! I've never seen a Ranger work truck like this before. Great job detailing it.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I noticed a light haze on the inside of the Qashqai's windscreen when I drove it a couple of days ago, so I dug out the invisible glass windscreen tool, and cleaned it with some Einzett Scheiben-Klar that I had leftover. Then I had to wipe it over with a glass cleaning cloth, the bonnet on the tool is a bit old, so it left some tiny microfibres behind which I can see when the sun is on them. Lockdown Day 12 -

The last day of lockdown, back to work tomorrow, it would have been rude to not take advantage of the first sunshine in what seems like a very long time.
