So i’t would probably be best if Bill D or Accumulator (think he’s only on Autopia) explain but i’ll give it a shot.

Basically I used foam gun (not cannon, hooks to hose not PW) and foam car in shade. I then wipe with MF mitt (used 5) and as you are wiping the car with the mitt, you are shooting foam from the gun directly on the front edge of the mitt as you are wiping.

Gives superior amount of lubrication and lubrication is what reduces marring. I like it.

    Feels safe.

So get ready to be wet.

Was also faster than lugging out PW and setting everthing up.

I used alot of soap 4-5oz but if protecting paint is your goal a little extra soap should be no problem. I probably over did it.

I’m linking this video from Ammo as i feel he is talking about his process not his products. He uses this technique in video.

Like that yours is all brass. The newer ones have some plastic in connect and newest one seems to be all plastic.

So on mine their is a quick disconnect hooked to the sprayer that comes with it to detach to get just water. Does this go between?

Can you show sprayer and how it connects?

I have another foam gun with an all plastic shut off. Either kind will serve you well

Accumulator recommends we “jiggle” the mitt while gently whisking it in short strokes over the paint. This is to reduce any marring that may possible happen to short marks rather than long ones in the paint (easier to correct)

He also shoots foamy water into the mitt until it oozes out and then whisks the paint with it. I rarely do this though. It’s optional

This process takes a little getting used to at first. Don’t get discouraged if it seems awkward. Overall, it sure beats having to remove paint with polishing the car once a year.

Here is the quick disconnect disassembled. It’s been so long since I used the sprayer that comes with the foam gun that I lost it

My mother has a 2006 Accord with 61k miles on it. It has never been detailed...until today.

Aside from the RIDS from the snow brush over the years, it came out really great, although I'm not a fan of the pads I currently have (S.M. Arnold blue) and will be getting a larger variety of LC pads shortly. I'll try to get pics, I can't believe I didn't think to take any when I was done.

Yeah their is a QD built in now but do you hook yours to the hise directly? Maybe this will work better but all in all happy with the set up.

Yep, I simply screw the QD onto the hose. I can quickly disconnect the foam gun from the hose because I have a disconnect on the hose
