    Howdy Roger!

So my coworker’s GF just bought a new Tiguan.
He texted me saying he, “wants the dealer swirls uninstalled”...

    And a good LSP.
I may look into a new sealant or “easy coat” for him.

If that’s the case I’ll be buzzing around here looking for suggestions.

303 Touchless sealant is an option, max life expectancy is no more than 3 months and that's pushing it but it's only $15.00 and easy to use. Might need two bottles for that ride but you'd be able to do everything, including the rimsWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing? What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Griots Ceramic 3-1 easy on easy off solid 4+ month of protection. I have yet to find a sealant that is to my liking after 4 months.

I feel the griots is around 80% and would make it to 6 months but why accept 80% when you got a fully stocked shelf.

If I upgrade my arsenal, I’m looking for something with 1 year longevity.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I cleaned both vehicles (Golf R and Explorer). Only uploading picture of Explorer since the R looks the same as I previously posted somewhere in this thread.
Quick rinse at the DIY place and rinseless wash in the garage for both.
Explorer also got a topper of Griots 3in1 ceramic spray. I'm actually impress how long it has lasted. I think the last time I applied was sometime last fall and water was still beading nicely before I added another layer.

Oh, and of course we have a winter weather advisory tonight - 2-4" of snow. Yippee.

I also fixed some paint transfer as well.
My wife thought it was a good idea to use the side of the garage to wipe the salt off my Explorer.
Most was just paint transfer from the garage trim, but it did take a bit of paint off near the bottom (1/2" scratch) and creased the edge a little bit. Small bit of touch up paint just to make it a little better.
I hit it was a LC orange pad and Megs UP followed by white pad and UP.
I was a bit worried I wouldn't have enough polish, but got it done with just a wee bit to spare.

Before (hard to get a good picture)

    After

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

After over a month, I finally got to wash the Fusion. I also tried out a few new to me products.
First, I foamed the car with Hyper Wash and then rinsed with my pressure washer. Then, I did a two bucket wash with Hyper Wash. Despite the salt and crud that remained after the foam, Hyper Wash really felt like the paint was lubricated. I'm glad that I picked this stuff up.
Tires and wheels were tackled with tire and rubber cleaner and Diablo Wheel Cleaner.
I used a Graphene detail spray as a drying aid and dressed the tires with a new to me Graphene Tire Dressing. I wasn't too happy with the dressing. But, that's probably because the tries need several good scrubs.
