What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finished my engine bay detail. I see a couple places that need attention however I think it turned out OK. You would never guess it has 410,000 miles on it.

Engine bays are like that, you never actually finish them. My FJ has mud splash baked on in places I just can't reach.

DFB...113 degrees, doesn't the water just evaporate I wish you could send us about 25 of those degrees, then we'd just get alot rain tonight/early morning

Cool change swept through later that evening, ending a 5 day heatwave. Woke this morning to sound of some much needed solid rain.

Today was much more conductive to outdoor activities at 80 degrees.

The best thing about yesterdays detail, apart from earning me some money, was the requirement to sit the Mustang in drive to make space in the garage. That means it got covered in dust stirred up by the hot summer winds. And that therefore gave me a reason to wash it today!

As always, the wheels always let the side down long before the paint needs attention.



Out of the cars I maintain, the Mustang is my favorite to detail. I'm not quite sure why, but I always just seem to enjoy working on this car the most. I have had this car since March 2017 and I often can't believe it's mine.

38C (98F) here today, so no detailing. The cool change won't be here till after midnight. I hope to go off road later this week, so no point touching the FJ till that's done.

Off roading here during this time of the year means something completely different and sometimes means the use of your OE towhook

Last of the nice front ends. I thought the 18 plus would grow on me.... they didn’t. Another reason why i didn’t buy another pony. Didn’t want the new front end unless i found a nicely priced Bullitt....

Washing it more than driving it helps!

It only has about 5,200 miles on it, only getting it out of the garage when it suits me.
