What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Since the Hybrid Solutuon Flex wax is currently out of stock I ordered it elsewhere, along with the new and improved Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner and "Eve's better halfs" graphene tire dressing.

Although outside 24/7 since last June I do have access to going into a shop, so I might have to try the TWHS Flex graphene soon, whether it's on my own car for someone else's. The wheel cleaner I've used before, just not the new version and the graphene infused tire product will be a 1st time experience for me, I'm sure others are feverously working on them too!

Guys...1/3 of winter is over, the days are getting longer each and every day and before you know it we'll all be able to get out there and use ALL of products whenever we want

Polished the front fender on my ‘08 Tacoma. Yes it’s not perfect however it’s much better. There are some imperfections in the paint but I will address those later.

My last day of holiday leave today, and I feeling both sad and anxious about my return.

Distraction was found in the form of giving the Ranger a bath. With the lead up to Christmas, being away for a few days and other cars attracting my attention, the Ranger was in need of a decent clean.

The tray was full of grass, leaves and twigs. After rolling up the rubber mat, I pressure washed it then foamed with GSF. I then scrubbed with a long handle wheel arch brush and rinsed clean. I then followed the same process for the outside of the tray before attacking the wheels and tyres.

The tyres were grotty with an accumulation of tyre dressing and dust. I applied Brake Buster to the wheels and tyres, doing the wheels first to allow the chemical to bite into the grime on the tyres. I ended up having to do the tyres twice to get them clean.

The result being clean, bare tyres.

Dressed and back to DFB spec.

Today also was time for a re-application of interior dressing, today choice was CarPro Perl.

Having seen to the rest of the car from top to bottom, inside and out, I though I may as well go all out and apply Reload to the tray. I mean, it is called "detailing" for a reason! And you have to admit, it does look pretty good.

The last 11 days have been bliss. It has taken me a long time to realize that holidays with a destination in mind are not really for me. Some people love the thought of getting on a plane to a tropical paradise, exploring Europe, going camping or lying on a beach. Not me. I have just spent my holiday at home, doing stuff that makes me happy and relaxed, and that is totally ok!

Iron-decon’d the wheels and paint with Ethos wheel cleaner
Ethos Foam party wash
Topped with Xtreme Solutions Topper

It’s like a fresh layer of gloss was added.

The Qashqai got driven in the rain yesterday, only around the corner and back, so it only needed a gentle wipe with some QD. I used Bowden's Own Boss Gloss, says "Speedy Detailer for an epic shine" on the bottle. I like it, feels very slick, any streaks left behind remove with a very light touch. Just noticed in the first pic, she got too close to the gutter, the tyre needs some work as well.
