I know this, I don't miss the smell of that DUB wheel cleaner I next moved to the wash, chose a RW using the towels in the bucket method, solution of choice tonight was Griot's Garage Brillant Shine rinseless wash, just love this stuff...pure clean! After the wash and dry I used some of the leftover and re-sprayed the tires, wheels and wells with it and then immediately dried using my Master Blaster to dry completely, actually went over the entire car in all the nooks and crannies, handy tool without a doubt.
I should mention that before I got started with all this I took out the OE carpeted mats, vac'd out the car and installed the WeatherTech floorliners and ofcoarse they fit perfectly, no surprises there. I treated the brand new floorliners with their protectant earlier and let it dry and soak in real good while I watched the Wolverines smoke the Spartans
Now the car sits till tomorrow where I'll be attending a cars and coffee I haven't been to since a week after I got the car Time to head upstairs, pour myself a Coke and cook a burger!

They seriously still have cars and coffee this time of year? After that hell of a week we had with the weather and still salt everywhere? I though people would be storing those nice cars by now.

Most people do have them put away, but some of us that have modded DD still show with our rides and the other guys drive their DD or designated winter cars. It's cool to get car guys together and talk shop, these guys from Chicago Garage have been doing this weekly cars and coffee for years now

Hey Klasse,
I am wondering why you use heavy hitters for cleaning tires and wheels.
Seems to me you coated the wheels and tires.
I only do the atomic clean before a facelift otherwise the normal soap bubble theory works

Bad habits die hard, LOL.
Today's wheel cleaning was just to be curious, plus to use the stuff up honestly. I see no need to use the color changing wheel cleaners on my car, Brake Buster @4:1 or even 5:1 is my go to for weekly cleanings. I guess when I do a WW or RW I could use my designated wheel cleaner and then when I do a 2BM and pre-wash with the foamer I could just use whatever is in my foamer at that time, I should know better to be honest

Also, I used the color changing stuff alot on my Abarth because I was all about the chemical reaction, problem there was what it was doing to my rotors and the paint on my calipers though. This bad habit I did learn from. Every so often is ok but weekly, never again! It stays on the shelf for when I really need it, like someone else's car, LOL

I wonder how soft/hard that BMW paint is. Keep us posted.
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

John from Forensic Detailing has a BMW and just had his hood and front bumper re-sprayed and he commented on how hard BMW paint is, looks to be the same color red too actually.

Speaking of hard or soft paint, my Hyundai looked great when I got it and still don't see any swirls in my paint. I mean I feel my wash technique is good but even still, after 8 months I see nothing anywhere. Because it's an Asian branded car, on the less expensive side, I'd assume its soft paint
