What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

After around a month of ownership I was finally able to get the car corrected and protected.

Full wash with Carpro Reset, decon with Iron X and Tarminator. Clayed with Nanoskin Sponge and ONR as clay lube. Normally use Nanoskin Glide but noticed I was out.

Used my trusty (crappy) Harbor Freight DA. Used an LC orange foam pad and Menzerna 400. An LC white pad with Menzerna 3500 on some of the black gloss areas. Wiped down with Gyeon Prep. And protected with IGL Premier.

Definitely not perfect, I wasn't going for perfection as I find it a waste of time for a daily driver that sees Michigan winters. I would say roughly 80%-85% correction.

How do you like IGL Premier I used it a couple months back and really liked it but you know me, I like to layer and try something else not too long afterwards, the good or bad thing about having/trying/using so many different products

First try with Meguiar's Hyper Dressing. Was supposed to be 4:1 but ended up being 3:1. Little glossy for my taste. It settles so well though..

I don't have a ton of experience with it but so far I love it. I had it in my old car before I traded it in. Was on for probably 3 months with no visible loss of performance.

Started on the Golf R today for my client.

Wheels were filthy:



Started with tires, used BleacheWhite and tire brush.



Then hit the wheels with ironX.



Oh looks! They aren't grey wheels!





Used 303 Compound on some areas on the car the client wanted corrected. Got some scratches out and some look better despite being pretty deep.

Tomorrow will be full polish, some attention to details and a few layers of coating

Wash day for the Mustang today. Not that it was too dirty, but it "needed" doing LOL!









The Mustang is currently coated with CarPro Reload.

Foam is fun!

Came down to the garage to apply some wax to all my glass, it's similar to #845 but coming from a popular mfg, stay "tuned"

Snapped a pic of the car, not sure if I'm driving to the Geneva Concours D'lagance tomorrow but even parked on the main drag I wanna look my best as there's lots of nice rides parked all around

Thank you but just know it's been topped with Gyeon Tire Express here. For actual pics of them coated just check out the OPT tire coating thread. The OPT tire coating IS the real deal, just make sure them tires are CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN
