Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Last Thurs I started with a full decon wash with 3D Super Pre-Soak, McKee's 37 Xtreme Iron Remover, McKee's 37 Coating Prep Auto Wash. and Iron X Snow Soap.

Today I finally started to polish off the existing coating in preparation of a new coating. I figure it will take me a week or more since I can only polish a few hours a day (today I got all the horizontal surfaces 1st step). Tomorrow I will finish up the 1st step at least and hope to do the 1st layer by Sunday.

What coatings have you used? Length they have been on the car? Why is up next?

I bought some 303 spot cleaner, wish it was a 32oz, as it impressed me after the first few times and I finished up my bottle. Got a gallon of RTU hydro blue since 303 new touchless is out of stock I’ll have to wait a while. Then another small bottle of Gyeon primer. Wanted to make sure I have enough since weather is warming I want to correct and coat moms car this year

Well last night I decided to wash the car, maybe I should've checked my WestherBugWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I started using the new Griot's Garage foaming tire cleaner and CG's Sticky Citrus and let it dwell, then time for the pre-wash.

For pre-wash I used AutoBrite MagiFoam, stuff really produces the thick foam in my IK Foam 9. I rinsed that down and did a 2BM wash using Gyeon Bathe and Bathe Essence, talk about suds, WOW!

Before I left work I applied a single coat of 303 Tire Balm but upon leaving for work it was misting outside, oh well, Friday is tomorrow and I'm using Griot's Garage Brillant Shine rinseless wash, love this stuff.

Coatings I have used started with Blackfire Crystal coat which I did two with. Then just Essence topped with Reload when it was very 1st released for my car's 1st. I have also used WG Uber, my favorite to apply CSL, also CSL topped with EXOv3 and EXOv4, Gyeon Syncro, MOHS+Booster, and now Miyabi with Zipang.

Other than the Essence/Reload they were all on for one year and could of easily made another year for sure but I just wanted to try something different.

The CSL/Exo seemed to look the best and the Syncro seemed to keep the cleanest.

The products for my paint I am doing now
