So the 3 of us went for a late lunch/early dinner in downtown Palatine and was stopped dead in my tracks by THIS! Now I understand a stuck caliper and bad rotor but my God how does someone drive long enough to make the wheel look like THIS!?!?

Btw, this was the only wheel like this, worst I've ever seenWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

This week I washed and then sealed my wife’s SUV on Monday night. It was in the 40s. Then I did the same to my moms Subaru.

Thursday it was 45 degrees so I washed my CLS. Then on Friday morning around 6 am, even thought it’s coated, I waxed it. Then I coated the tires w griots.

Saturday we washed my brother-in-laws new car and spot polished and then coated it. He was so happy. It’s white and we went w gloss coat. I’d forgotten how easy it was.

Today I went to the Tesla store w my son. Looked at a Model S. I’d probably spend a lot of time detailing that if I bought it. Thinking about the blue w black rims. Btw, black rims r hard to keep clean.

i still wanted to do my other 2 cars but I worked over 60 hours this week and I coach my sons soccer and basketball teams so ran out of time .

Is one of these worth picking up?

Was going to grab some Meg’s ultimate wheel cleaner as I liked using it but curious if I should bother with a dedicated tire and rubber product or continue on with the D143.

    Let me know

Also I did not do anything to vehicles besides drive on super wet sloppy roads so they look like hell but we are thawing out so may wait to later in the week when it’s mainly gone.

The 303 is amazing. Outperformed griots foaming tire cleaner, super clean, griots rubber cleaner, and mothers wheel and tire. Right about being safe. No I’ll affects on my matte black wheels. Wish I could get a gallon

    Looking good!

Surprise you didn't use Wolfgang rinseless or the waterless wash.

As far as those tire cleaners, I’d stick with D143. Much better value and when used as prep for tire dressings it’s all a wash...

I hope you're happy with the switch. IMO the Elantra Sport looks a lot better than a Fiat 500. Performance wise it might be a tie.

The Gyeon leather products are excellent. You won't be disappointed if you decide to go that route.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Not today but Saturday I did a rinseless wash on my wife’s Miata. Cleaned tires, wheel wells and wheel faces with Megs APC and brushes. Washed with ONR and wiped down with 50/50 mix of McKee’s 37 high gloss detailer and fast wax. Tires and wells were dressed with McKee’s 37 gloss tire gel. Love that this takes less than 30 minutes!
