Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
Did a major cleaning of that green ZL1 again!
I started with the rims, they were trashed! Started with Adam's iron remover, then 303 tire cleaner and then TWHS Hyper Foam Tire and Wheel cleaner and let dwell. All 4 brushes were much needed here! As you can see, lots of gray and brown Foam, really bad!
Once all 4 wheels were done I turned my attention to the paint. It's been sitting outside and was dirty and gritty. I finished off my bottle of Adam's iron remover and switched over to TWHS Decon. I let that dwell and then foamed the entire car with Bilt-Hamber Auto-foam and let dwell. I rinsed it off and prepared for the 2BM.
For the 2BM I used DG carwash soap. It did a great job, lots of suds. The left over soap was used as a lubricant for a brand new Griot's Garage red clay MIT, this ZL1 REALLY needed it. I broke it in on the glass and then moved to the car. After a couple passes you could feel it remove that sh!t[emoji779]️I rinsed the car down again and dried it. I finished up using my mini Master Blaster on the rims, grill and various other nooks.
For protection I reached for 303 spray graphene and it's such a joy to use, very easy! The Gloss and smoothness is off the charts here, did the glass too! I applied TWHS graphene tire dressing to finish it up[emoji41]

Custom made foot rest plate from Etsy seller, looks OEM[emoji817] Now I just hope the 3 large strips of 2 way tape hold it, LOL[emoji56]
I've got some other mods for it, 2 are here, the other one coming next month, stay "tuned" (non-perf mods)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d94e2b7c03.jpg

I was out most of the day today and want to go to a C&C I haven't been to this year yet, so I did a touchless wash on the EN. I used 3 oz of TWHS Ceramic wash and 3 oz of TWHS Slick and Slide Pure Wash in my Griot's Garage foam gun. I also used TWHS Hyper Foam Tire and wheel cleaner and all 4 brushes. Rinse and free flow, dry and mini Master Blaster and DONE[emoji779]️I gave the tires a light coat of Auto-Fanatic Holeshot tire dressing which is mixed with something I was low on and a similar product, came out nice. Also finished up CG's Black Frost in the interior and trunk area[emoji106][emoji106]

Quick cleanup under the hood with Griot's engine cleaner. Tires with Tuf Shine. Wheels with Megs Non Acid. Rinseless wash with Griot's BF RW and the SPTA cordless sprayer for pretreat. I've used the SPTA about a half dozen times and it's still on the original charge and not showing a low battery yet. Windshield and Rear Window with Griot's Ceramic glass cleaner.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ef484b80f9.jpg

Just a quickie to get the truck back to gray instead of “pollen green”.
Megs HW, and Griot’s Black Satin on the tires. (Looks shiny, but I snapped this pic seconds after application).

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
I noticed some dark streaking on the roof, I'm guessing it's the 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating as it comes out of the spray bottle dark. Either I haven't buffed it off properly, or it's not compatible with the single stage paint on the roof, seems fine on the clear coated silver.
I tried wiping it down with Carpro Eraser, which did nothing, so I thought I'd try some Dodo Juice Lime Prime on my Ryobi RO, which worked, but I had to go to hand polishing due to raised panels on the roof, the RO just couldn't get in close enough.
So what to put on to replace it, I've got some Mother's CMX, also a couple of different sealants from NV, but I decided to go with Collinite 845, I did have to put it in the sun for half an hour before it became liquid enough to use. I'm still happy with the 303 Graphene on the rest of the car, just not the white roof.
I then gave the rest of the FJ a wipe down with NV Boost, we've had a couple of weeks of cold windy days with no rain, not even any morning dew, so that was all it needed.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...cc3aab21e7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ca0df4fa80.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9bf181d00d.jpg

I've seen some people mention using a baby bottle warmer.
