Not exactly today, But acid rain on this truck really bad. Used CG hd water spot remover. Then follow up with some old Gliptone polish. Turned out not bad. The whole roof especially where the weather striping is for sunroof, All that black trim bleeding oils into the paint or thats what it looks like. Was tuff to get rid of. With a 3" foam pad and my drill not bad.

Invested in some new clay... after realizing the stuff I have is a few years old & probably past it's best :)

What’s the reason someone would use regular clay when things like those Griot’s synthetic clay pads are available? Just curious as a newbie.

Yup, Roger is right.
If you have deeply embedded contaminates, only a true clay will work to remove them.
The synthetic alternatives are great if you keep your paint in good condition though. You can cut your claying time by 2/3's IMO.
