Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

First off last night I applied another coat of Feynlab Black Velvet "just because", I did use Gyeon Tire cleaner sprayed into a mf towel for a wipedown first.

It sprinkled overnight so before heading to work I wiped the car down with Beadmaker while it was wet. Funny thing is I go back inside to top off my bottle only to discover I used up my gallon already. At this point I've decided to use my freshly made gallon of FrankenDetailer v 1.0 before buying another gallon of Beadmaker.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Because it's going to be in the low 90's today I decided to wash the ES early. It's been a couple days so it was dusty/little bit of pollen, so pretty straight forward. Started with the tires/wheels and Brake Buster, skipping the tires as I applied another coat of Feynlab Black Velvet 2 days ago. After rinsing down the rims it was time for the carwash.

This time around I grabbed Griot's Garage Brillant Shine rinseless wash, it's been a while. I also decided to use my 350 GSM Eagle edgeless microfiber towels for the GD method. I've never used anything but 500 GSM edgeless microfiber towels for this and I must say they worked great, going to see how they do on a WW next time around. Dried the car with a pair of Griot's Garage PFM's and Adam's waffle weave glass towel on the windows.

To finish things up I tried Adam's leather interior spray and Adam's undercarriage spray for my wheelwells. I finished up spraying some leftover RW into a seperate mf towel and simply wiped my tires.

Running a load of mf towels right now and it's time for a shower because even though I finished up before 8 a.m. it's 75 degrees and the humidity is "starting" to creep upWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing? What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

A shout out to my Texas neighbors.

I did like the griots Black shine. Definitely dried to the touch which I liked. I applied, then after 1 minute wiped. Tires did come out a little glossier than I liked but the wifed loved it.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I did a pre-sale detail on this Hyundai i30 (Elantra Sport) today.

The cars owner is one of my boss's. (For those who find it a challenge dealing with one boss, well I have three! Navigating that minefield is well, lets say, has it's plus's and minus's. )

The owner is NOT a car guy and definitely finds my detailing proclivities frankly confusing. The car has about 27,000 miles on it and I dare say there are parts of this vehicle that have never been cleaned in that time.

Used Brake Buster straight up to cut through 5 years of neglect.

Note that I still managed to get in some Ford branding,

All done and now ready for sale.

I get they we are picky about our car's appearance and upkeep, but for the life of me, I just don't see how (usually?) otherwise clean/neat/organized people would choose to drive cars that have so much dirt/debris on the floors and a messy/dirty interior.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Engines cleaned and "detailed" (detailing product na on AG) the Crosstrek yesterday and the CX-5's a month ago. Hopefully when I go in for for the first service tomorrow on the Crosstrek, the techs may be a little more "caring" given that the car belongs to someone who does "care." Also did a WW on the CX-5 with Ultima WW. Not the best pic, but it works well.
