What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Finished up some loose ends today. TW HS coating on all door jambs and tailgate jamb. Then SONAX rubber seal treatment on all door jamb weather stripping.

That truck is done from top to bottom. Off tomorrow. Time to RELAX!

I finally got a chance to wash my DD. My DD lives outside 100% of the time and never seen the inside of a garage (my garage queen and my detailing supplies filled up the garage). The car has 303 graphene on it since November 2020 and this was the first wash since then. I did use Ech2O as a QD after the wash this time to give it a little slickness.

Was trying to let my kid take care of his own car but it isn’t his priority. Couldn’t stand it anymore so I got a bucket of ONR and went to it. Had a large bird bomb (or something) on the hood - didn’t come off with the wash, with OPC, an opc soaked paper towel but finally shifted with a scrubby sponge I got from the rag company. Going to iron decon and clay soon before polishing. There is some road rash on the from lower fascia where he hit a hard snow bank and a large scratch on the rear fender that’ll need some attention.

SMW turned into SAW with the threat of rain!

Hit the tires and wheels with Meg D143 and a tire brush since the tires were dusty from going to a clients house in the country, wheels just spray, dwell rinse...topped them off with DP Tire Gell.

Car got Wolfgang SiO2 wash with multiple MF towels, dried with the awesome GG PFM and leaf blower to get the crevices!

I thought I was finished but I found an unopened bottle of WG Spritz on the shelf...so I cruised around the car making it real shiny! The combo of 303 Graphene, WGDGPS, and the WG Spritz (starting to feel like Rog!) really gives that deep black shine I like!

Hope you don't mind - I edited your post and using the [ENTER] key - separated your pictures to make them line-up in a linear manner plus put some white space between them to make it more enjoyable to see them.


I do this for lots of people - only takes a few seconds. You can do this in TapaTalk but it takes extra finger work.

Having been my chariot for the weekend, the XR6 deserved a detail today.

Today's little extra involved cleaning and conditioning the steering wheel.

Used NV Cleanse and Nourish, the result being very nice to hold.



And there is something very satisfying about freshly cleaned and dressed tyres.

Finally had some time to clean up the daily! Quick maintenance wash with Reset, Ech2O as drying aid, and Griot's Satin Black Tire Coating on the tires.

Time to place my WT AW mats in the attic and replace with some USA Made Cocoa Mats. I think the biggest improvement in the car interior's visual appearance goes to the mats. Rubber mats are literally impossible to keep clean - well because they ain't supposed to be clean, they are there to keep the carpeting clean, BUT I just don't like the looks of dirty mats. BTW, the seats are a deep maroon, kind of like black cherry in color, the the bright red shown in these pics.
