Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
This weeks detailing fix came in the form of another Mazda, a 2014 CX-5 GT in Crystal White Pearl Mica.

This car provides transport for a family of four. So while the exterior was not especially bad, the interior needed plenty of attention with the vacuum.
As always, wheels are first. Brake buster used for cleaning the tyres, wheel arches and wheels. Compared to last weeks Subaru, these wheels cleaned up much easier.

My normal wash followed, using TarX and Bug Out where needed, followed up with Hydr02.

With the usual debris accumulated by two active children, vacuuming took up plenty of time. Following that, I started to clean the plastic surfaces. Today I had a chance to try out Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer.

Glass and leather attended to and the exterior trims treated with 303, I dressed the tyres with CarPro Perl.

Finished and ready for return to the happy customer.

I really liked working on this car. Mazda really seem to have it nailed when it comes to making a quality car for modest money. This particular CX-5 is fitted with the 2.2 diesel which seemed like a strong engine that would be ideal for long distance cruising.
What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
Ozoned the hell out of my son’s upgraded car. I found a rough gem at a dealership. It was a year older (2018) than mine and had 5k less miles. The thing was solid but had a rough life. I beat them up to fix all the body damage and give me a new set of tires. The interior had a smell to it. My son likened it to cheese. I compare it to heavy body odor or rotten food. After this, I am going to extract it and enzyme it as well.

After restoring the headlights I completed the detail of the grill and front bumper. I used Super Clean to clean the bumper and then 3 applications of Meguiar’s Ultimate Black plastic restorer. Next I plan to do the same to the rear bumper plastic trim and coat the black metal bumper.

Rinsed my truck last Friday. Washed wife’s van at coin op and used a brush. I know I know but it’s seriously hammered and I don’t think it’s gonna ever look good. So came home and wiped down with n914 so everything was off and hit it with some mckees37 10 min paint sealant to boost the megs UFF. Wiped down all plastics twice with WETS and let it sit for 6 hrs before removing any excess definitely helped.
