Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The Qashqai went for a drive in the rain yesterday, then got parked in the garage. So was left with tiny little dust spots all over, the FJ was parked out in the heavy overnight rain, and the Collinite did its job, no visible dust spots.

So the Qashqai got a Snow Job foam wash, Meg's Gold Class 2 bucket wash, then moved back into the garage and dried with After Glow. Decided to coat the wheels with 303 touchless sealant as well, there wasn't any apparent beading on the wheels any more. Day Off Detail Therapy.

Today's aim was to get the Mustang coated with Collinite 845.

Having used various spray coatings over the last couple of years, I wanted to go back to a wax for a change. There's just something special about the way a traditional wax looks not to mention the durability of 845.

Having said that, a spray coating was used for the head lamps, tail lamps, rear gloss trim and black trims.

The after shot in the garage doesn't do the final result justice.

Despite them being worn lightly What did you do today, in regards to detailing? they wore evenly which means that the last time I did them I cleaned and lubed everything as need to get the end result shown.

Those towels are also excellent at window cleaning.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I managed to bag another day off this week, no prize for guessing what I did. That said, I did do some much needed gardening and housework.

Jaguar and Ranger were up for some attention today.

The Jag only needed the dust to be washed off, although I did use some EliXir as a drying aid to add some extra gloss.

The Ranger on the other hand had a light layer of traffic film and the usual dust, dirt and lawn clippings that accumulate over the course of my week.

Today, I added another layer of Hydr02 to the outside of the tray and tool boxes. This adds shine as well as making cleaning easier.

And yes, I also use the blower to dry the tray.

2016 Ford Ranger XL Single Cab Chassis with a mighty 2.2 litres of diesel fury!

It has had a custom made steel fitted from new, with two side tool boxes and a pull-out tool draw, both lockable. This set-up means I don't need to load up smaller tools everyday.

This is my daily, I practically live in this thing.
