The SS went in for an oil change, tire rotation and a few items I wanted entered in the system as the B to B warranty expires Wednesday. I came home with a plethora of swirls, scratches and heartbreak. I totally brain farted on telling them no washing the car.


Since it was somewhat clean I washed the SS with Adam’s Rinseless Wash and the BRS. Next up was light clay bar cleaning with ONR as a lube. I broke out both the trusty PC for 3” pad work and 21 mm Adam’s Swirl Killer plus numerous polishing pads, Meguiar’s D300 & Adam’s Polish and got to work.

I then wiped all the panels down with GTechnic Panel wipe. I coated the car with some left over McKee’s Paint Coating and topped that with Adam’s Ceramic Boost.

Well I finally gave the old girl a bath with N-914. It actually was looking more like a white car.
It seems like every time I went to clean it the forecast was for 3+ inches even tho we got nothing it didn't stop them from spraying the roads.

Hard to believe how close we are geographically yet we’re having one of our least snowy winters.

My neighbor recently had a stroke and he is recovering in a rehab hospital. His wife asked me how much I would charge for a detail. I told her that we been neighbors for 20 years and she is family and there is no charge. I worked on her 2015 Lincoln MKZ. The inside took more time than the outside. Snacks and grandkids took their toll on the inside. The inside was cleaned with Megs D101 and the seats were cleaned with Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel. The dash and panels were treated with 303. The seats were coated with Gyeon Leather ShieldQ2. The exterior was rinseless washed with Wolfgang Uber and finished with Mother’s CMX. The tires were dressed with Duragloss and the vinyl trim was treated with WETS.
I was happy with the results and she was happy with the results. By the way, I did vacuum after I took the picture.

Changed my winter wheel/tires for my summer/wheel tires. They were put away last fall with a fresh coat of G5 wheel coating and Adam’s Tire Shine. During the winter the wheels got an occasional spritz of Adam’s Ceramic Boost. The calipers were cleaned with APC then panel wipe followed by McKee’s Wheel Coating.

Damn that’s early!
I’m waiting till April as usual... though I admit I love my winter tires.
