I’ve come to realize that I prefer heavy downpours, or solid rain on several consecutive days, rather than a light shower once or twice a week.
With the heavy showers everything washes away and does not adhere to the surface of the car. With light showers the water on the road remains dirty and covers the car, especially the trunk area, with a fine mist of dirty water that sticks to the surface. I’ve been getting really annoyed these last couple of weeks in Palm Beach.

Took my stock wheels off and bought a wheel dip kit from dyc. Under $100 invested for a wheel color swap.
5 coats of black
5-6 coats of metallic flake bronze
A few hours of work
I plan to let it all dry for a few more hrs. Then I may tape off the face and do full barrels too in black.
Process
Cleaned wheels thoroughly
Wax and grease remover
Warmed all spray cans in warm water for a while
Shook them forever
Then started sprayinghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d968652d0e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d95c8c13d6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...57ac1cce37.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5925af4adf.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...77398d1734.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...68eaca65f4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7a5cc7cba7.jpg

Do you have to re-balance the wheels after doing that?

Nope but the top layers are basically gloss metallic paint. These top layers now aren't even plastidip but a paint used to top it. It's slick and glossy.
Plastidip and dipyourcar.com have improved a ton over the years.
Just ordered a few gallons to do my truck :-) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3f002692cd.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b5b62d7be9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ab9ea82a3a.jpg
