Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
So it's been raining almost all day here in Chicagoland, drove in it for work and on the way home it was brutal in the NW suburbs. Then I decide to come down to the garage for the FNW and the drain down here is backing up and its REALLY coming down tonight, oh well, onto the wash
For starters I topped off the tires the day I got the rims, scrubbed them actually but by this morning I had some browning and cracking, WTH, thought I was past this, so first things first I sprayed the tires with Alien Kleen and scrubbed them with my short brissel brush, brown suds. Then foamed the tires, wheels and wells with CG's Honey Dew and reached for the Speed Master and scrubbed the wheel barrels and spokes and rinsed down with the Worx hydroshot, time for the pre-wash!
Hadn't used CG's Honeydew for a while but did tonight, foamed the entire car as well the tires, wheels and wells again too. I let it dwell and although the suds we very thick because I used 3 ounces in the IK Foam 9 my protection did its job and it began to run, so I hit it again and rinsed with the Worx hydroshot. The beading was incredible, time for the 2BM!
Yet again I reached for something I hadn't used in aong time, Gyeon Bathe Essense and it has really gotten thick in there, used an ounce in the wash bucket along with the leftover CG'S Honeydew and made soap and got after the 2BM. The rinse bucket water didn't get too dirty which is no surprise because between the paint coating I've got on there and its booster the self cleaning properties really rear their heads here when driving in an absolute downpour.
After the final rinse I decided to spray some Meg's HCW @3:1 on the rims, let sit and rinse away, wanna build up a decent layer of protection on there, twice within 72 hrs, LOL.
Finally I dried the car and I actually used my Master Blaster mini to dry the car, got most of the water off but really concentrated on the tires and wheels, gotta use this thing more often, out of sight out of mind I guess, can't have everything down here in the garage
I'm going to give the tires a wipe with 303 Tire and Rubber cleaner and call it a night, hopefully I don't need a boat come morning

For Brake Buster I use 3:1 ratio in my IK Foam Pro2 and in my IK Foam 9 I use anywhere from 2-3 ounces of soap and then top off with water to the line and no more.

I highly recommend it. I drove the Camry, Corolla, and Rav 4 and I liked the way the Rav4 drove the best. It is smooth and feels quicker than the other SUV I've driven.
The new Corolla really impressed me as well. That's much faster than the older models and really smooth on the highway.
Toyota has stepped up their game as far as performance and their reliability is top notch.

The Rolla is VERY impressive, you could put a Lexus badge on it even IMO but only in the top spec because it really looks different further on down the line. It's about time Toyota came around on their cars, I guess they were tired of Mazda kicking their butts

My wife almost bought this as a commuter and I really enjoyed driving it. I brought it home for her to see and got 40 mpg on the way home.
Not only Mazda, but Honda also kicked their behind. I enjoy the looks of the Honda Accord and Civic better, but their reliability has become questionable and when their customers have issues, they turn their back on them. I'm big on customer service and Toyota typically stands behind their customers when they have issues. Hyundai goes above and beyond for their customers as well.

Yes but you can fill it up with an air compressor too! That's what I did. Got it to like 60-80 psi super fast.

See I have a Ryobi battery powered inflator that I keep in my trunk to check and top up my tires psi, do you think it will take forever and a day when using this? I ask because this "not having to pump" method alone would make me buy the new Foam12 if my battery powered inflator would do the trick here...thoughts?
