Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
Yesterday was a great Friday. Mid 60's, with clouds but not rain clouds and enough sunlight at night to wash both my Red Sport and the Jeep in prep for taking it down to Cars and Coffee this morning. Hopefully will get up some pics of her around some friends and perhaps other Jeeps later today.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
Just washed the Wife's Focus.
And, I finally got around to applying Meguiars spray ceramic wax to it. For this application, I followed the instructions on the bottle, and applied it directly to the car and then rinsed off with my pressure washer.
Later today I'm going to apply it to my Fusion using the applicator method that I saw on YouTube, and see which method is best for me.
At this point, I'll bet that the applicator method will win.

I couldn’t stand the scratches on the A, B and C pillars any longer. They got polished with HD Polish+ and 3” white foam pad with the PC 7424XP. Then they got ceramic coated with CQuartz DLUX. Here is before and after. I am happy with the results.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
So I decided to do the engine bay dressing this afternoon. I started by using Tri-Nova Plastic and Trim restorer on the engine bay, fuse box, battery and these access covers on each side of the engine bay. I then used 303 Protectant on all the hoses and other plastic bits in the engine bay, including the intake manifold. Now its properly dressed.
I then turned my attention to the interior where once again I reached for the 303 Protectant and applied to all interior panels. I then sprayed CG's Black Frost into the carpeted mats and trunk area. I finished by using 303 Rubber seal protectant on all the seals, fresh, clean and protected.
While I had the 303 Protectant in my hand I sprayed the wheelwells down to give the car a little finishing touch. I also applied a 2nd coat of 303 Tire Balm too and if all the planets line up, I'll be attending my first big cars and coffee of the year tomorrow morning, fingers crossed

I was so mad at the amount of scratches and dents on the bed of my work truck. No clue where they all come from but none were by me. Truck only has 6500 miles wth. Guess I should expect it, it is an oilfield truck.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
My mother’s Toyota Corolla was supposed to be treated to the Supreme Package @ Mr. Paul’s AutoSpa, but instead due to the extreme cluster fu** that was my day I only had time for wash, light clay and seal. Wheels and tires were cleaned with Meguiar’s D143 then rinsed and treated with CarPro Hydro. Tires got two coats of McKee’s SiO2 Tire Shine. For the paint I foamed it with Griot’s Garage Foaming Surface Prep. WOW! Rinsing revealed a near completely clean car. Many MF pads in the wash bucket with Dr Beasley’s Premium Body Wash made for quick work of a small car. Rinsed again then used fine clay towel with wash soap for lube. Rinsed yet again then sealed with Dr Beasley’s Formula 1201 Paint Coating. Windshield scoured with Meguiar’s Water Spot Remover then coated with McKee’s Glass Coating. Finally I did try the Bead Maker as an LSP. Sure smells good! Left the finish super slick.

Washed the work truck. Paint is bad. Frustrating bad. Pressure wash rinsed. Foamed with griots foam surface wash. 2bm with foam surface wash. Wheels and tires D143. Dry with pfm. Tires 2 coats McKees sio2 tire shine. Wheels Meg’s UFF. Paint Meg’s UFF. Trim got WETS. Vacuumed interior and wiped down with 303 aerospace protectant. Floor mats with D101 and dried. Then threw some Meg’s UPW on over the uff. Had to toss wax as wind blew as I was finishing and got sand in the can. Didn’t want to risk it. Least I’d used half the tin. Should be good for a few months. Attachment 66262Attachment 66263Attachment 66264
