    Poorboys Black Hole Glaze Question.

in your opinion, on a black car that has been well polished, is there any worthwhile benefit to applying a product like Poorboys Black Hole (or similar "glaze" product) prior to laying down a high quality carnuba based wax?

I understand that generally there are 2 main reasons to apply glaze. One is to hide minor swirls/scratches, the other is to enhance gloss. Well, if the car is already well polished, that would (for the most part) eliminate one of those 2 reasons. So, would you say that the gloss enhancing qualities of Poorboys Black Hole Glaze are significant enough to warrant the additional work? Or would you think that if you are going to be applying a high quality carnuba wax, its kind of a moot point?

Is there another Glaze product where the gloss enhancing qualities are really worth it, even though you will be topping with Carnuba wax?

On any other color, I think its probably not worth it. But again this is black.

    Thoughts, experiences?

    IMO:
If a person wants to take the time, and
make the effort, to apply PoorBoys BH
Glaze, it can actually add enhancement—
    “enrichment”, if you will—to vehicles’ paint;
even to those that have been well polished.

    IMO:
3M Imperial Hand Glaze (3M IHG)

    IMO:
3M IHG provides a deep, wet, and rich
    look (the aforementioned “enrichment”)
    to all BC/CC paint systems...regardless
    their ‘color’.

Re: Poorboys Black Hole Glaze Question.

According to Poor Boy's description of Black Hole Glaze, they say that a protectant wax or sealer may be applied over BH to lock in the filling qualities. So, I'd say you're good to go, no harm-foul and might give you that last little bit of gloss you're looking for.

It's a real nice product, I've used it.

I’ve used this stuff a decent amount. It’s the kinda stuff that gives you the feel goods while using it but there is really little benefit to it on corrected paint.

This doesn’t mean I wouldn’t use it if I had time to play around

While most glazes look good, I find that whatever LSP that is put on top doesn’t last nearly as long as it would without using a glaze.

Re: Poorboys Black Hole Glaze Question.

I didn't notice any ill effects of using 845 over Black Hole or Prima Amigo. Both still lasted the same lenght of time compared to when I actually polished and used 845.

I'm not sure I'd take the time to use a glaze after polishing as I don't know if I'd be able to tell the difference.

In my opinion, Black Hole adds nothing to a well-polished car.
