polishing product for clearcoat aluminum rims

Yes. Your clear coated wheels are like your car's paint. WG FG is a fine polish and will work fine on them.

This is one made for clearcoated finishes. The others are made for metall polish on bare metalls. It's quite big so if you have alot of spokes on your wheels you may need to find one smaller else where. A drill and your polish or compound and you are good to go. Mf applicator pads works good also. And then you have the many various shapes of hand foam polishing applicators. Or you simply cut a polishing pad or applicator to desired shape and size.

How about the Mother's Cone, that can get into tight areas?

I use the mother’s ball one for wheels, if the face is flat then a 3.5” regular pad. The cone one I have for exhaust tips.

I only read the description of the Mothers Powercone. And it's says only for uncoated metall surfaces. There is cones out there with regualar foam. Maybe the Powercone works too.
