Frustrated with dusting of Meg's M105. Alternative options?

I love the performance of Meguiars M105. However, the dusting is a bit much. I suppose perhaps M105 is a relatively "old" formula, but because it works well otherwise, there is little motivation to address the dusting by changing the formula. Well, what are some other alternatives that perform about as well, minus the excessive dusting?

I recommend trying these 2 on the right.

And if you prefer to do your cutting with microfiber pads and you haven’t tried Megs D300, you’ve been missing out bigtime. [it works well with foam pads too]

Meguiars's D300 is the way to go. I only use M105 if I have absolutelly no other choice. D300 doesn't cut as much, but the difference is minimal, and not only does it not dust in normal conditions, but it also has a much longer work time and it wipes away much easier. It also finishes like an one step polish, so a fininish polishing step is optional. Pretty much the perfect compound when you consider all the factors.

Sonax Cut Max! Best compound out there right now IMO.

If you are used to the performance of 105 then D300 will certainly underwhelm you in terms of cut.

Agree with Sonax Cut Max. Great compound.

D300 paired with a microfiber cutting pad is nice but Sonax overall is a better compound on foam or microfiber.

Give car pro clear cut a shot, it's my go-to now. Very little dust and finishes almost perfect.

Agree 200%. Worth noting though is that it will dust if using a wool pad, which is typical of most compounds on wool. Not as bad as 105 though.

May have to give it a try just to be aware of how it performs. I like Sonax stuff.

If you want to use up the rest of your M105 you can mix 50/50 with Megs UC. Overall the combo is much better compound to work with and the dusting is reduced.

I use a lot of M100. Still dusts a bit, but nowhere near as much as M105.

    Ultimate Compound still gets used.

Menzerna 400 is also a gem of a compound, and dusts way less.
