Plastic Bumpers on 2006 Lexus GX 470
Appreciate help on my new to me 2006 Lexus GX470 SUV. This is my first time really taking the time to get my vehicle to look great. My question is that there are scuffs and smudges on the plastic bumper covers in the front and rear of the car. Not looking for perfection, but other than washing these sections, what other products should I use on them to bring out the shine? Also, what product would you recommend to try to get some of the scuffs out with?
Appreciate the help!

Do you have a polisher?

I have never used one, but my friend has a Griots 6 inch Random Orbital Polisher I can borrow.

Put some pics up if you can. The Tapatalk app is about the easiest way I know of to post them.
I have my mother in laws 06 Forunner that I don’t think has ever seen shade in its life. The painted plastic pieces are all failing and the paint on the body is getting close too.
Hopefully yours has seen a little better life than mine, but I’d say go gentle on it. Especially the painted plastic pieces and the horizontal surfaces.
After a good prep, I would try out a light polish or an AIO/cleaner wax first and see what happens.
It should clean the paint, knock some of the oxidation off, add some gloss, and show you what the paint looks like.

Tread lightly on plastic bumpers. Paint is soft (flexing agent) and thin.

Ahh!!!
Just walked out to get something from the wife’s car and noticed a flake of clear on the roof, then I found more. I just washed this less than two weeks ago and didn’t notice it.
Like I’ve said before, the paint is pretty toasty and I can see cloudy spots on the hood. The plastic painted bits are mostly dull on the upper more horizontal surfaces.
