Product expiration?
forgive me if this has been covered, but I did a search and didn't seem to find anything.
Is there an expiration to polishes and sealants? Back before having kids, 8 years now, I got into detailing when I bought my first truck. I bought Klasse, Ultima, Poorboys, Wolfgang, and S21. Once the kids came along, priorities shifted and I just stopped using those products. So, being that the products are 8yrs old at this point, can I still use them? Or have the properties in them broken down by now? I'd really hate to through all of those bottles away and have to start over.
Thanks in advance

Re: Product expiration?
Usually, if they can be shaken up and regain their consistency they should be good. Especially concerning the polishes. I imagine sealants might lose some of their effectiveness over long periods of time. Could just be my own perceptions though.
Strange to think 2010 was eight years ago!

I agree with above. I also believe pastes such as P21S are definitely still good. Liquids, probably good unless they remain separated and/or smell rotted after heavy shaking.

Alot depends on how you have stored them. Have they been exposed to extreme temperature swings or frozen ever? If not chances are good that they are fine.

Re: Product expiration?
typically with polishes/compounds they say right around 2-3 years is the shelf life. but, they can go bad quicker than that or stay the same many years there after. as long as you keep the products in room temperature and away from extreme heat and cold they should last a long time. i give a good shake to some of my products every month or so and keep an eye on the consistency...

Re: Product expiration?
My stuff sits in the gladiator cabinets in the garage. It is totally fine. Used some 3 yr old 205 today, worked like a champ.
My brother had #7 for 15 years.
