Re: Mixing Meg’s APC with car wash to strip paint

Update: I clayed last night. It went smoothly, no real rough spots but the paint feels a bit smoother *I think*.

I’ll do some pad/polish testing today or tomorrow, then the 2 Step with Wolfgang twins (most likely) Monday. I’ll probably spray APC on a test spot and polish that and another spot when I do test. That will determine if I go ahead and APC spray and wipe the whole car before polishing.

If I do go the APC route (since I don’t have degreaser or strip soap on hand), I’ll then wipe with Wolfgang paint prep spray before starting the full 2 Step.

Mixing Meg’s APC with car wash to strip paint

Save time and just paint prep spray it and then go right to polishing now that you’re done claying. You are way overthinking this.

Re: Mixing Meg’s APC with car wash to strip paint

If you are polishing the paint that will take care of the old wax/sealant. I believe people read too much here and get way too technical with approaches like this. Keep it simple...
