Gyeon silk drying towel and rinseless washes.

With Autogeek’s recent sale and free shipping, I ordered a few things that have been on my list (Gyeon drying towel, Wolfgang Uber rinseless wash, among others). My question is, is the Gyeon silk drying towel safe to use with either ONR or Uber rinseless? Just making sure there is nothing in there that will affect the performance of the Gyeon towel. I’ve always used a waffle weave towel for the first drying wipe on rinseless washes followed by a microfiber.

    Thanks in advance.

It’s still microfiber there fore any issue you had with Uber or ONR in the past on towels will be there on the Gyeon. I don’t have the Gyeon but have that style towel and use to dry ONR with no concerns

No problem using the Silk Dryer with either Uber rinseless or ONR. Should work just fine.

Thanks! I've never had an issue with rinseless products, just making sure it wouldn't affect the new towel. I remember reading about someone having an issue with their PFM Griots towel pushing water instead of absorbing it.

    Thanks a lot!

Just curious, how do you guys like the Gyeon silk drying towel? Is it worth getting one over a waffle weave MF towel? I use the MF WW for my drying vehicles.

Gyeon Silk towels are great. Similar performance the PFM, but they just don’t hold as much water as the PFM.

Griots PFM has been on the, “I’m curious” list for a long time...
    I should just try it.

i really like the Gyeon for the "drag across to dry" method. No pressure. i just lay the towel flat and pull at the ends. Love it for this style of drying.

It doesn't absorb a whole lot, so I would get a few. As of now, I only have the one.

On my last rinseless (using Blackfire rinseless) I started with the Gyeon for the front end, and finished off the rest of the SUV using a PFM. PFM does hold quite a bit.

The silk dryer is a nice towel. The only downside is that it is only one side unlike the PFM which has two usable sides which allows it to absorb more water.

I haven't used a waffle weave on paint in a long time. You would be happy with either the PFM or Silk Dryer.

I held out for quite a while with PFM, finally caved this Spring. Dunno if it's truly magic as most of the twisted loop towels work well for blotting/dragging type drying. Still prefer Platinum Pluffle if using drying aid but the 2 sided, large PFM is quite nice.

Overall, glad I gave it a try.
