Re: Looking for a reasonably priced foam cannon soap...
Most people fill a bucket as well, so most people are not getting 64 washes out of a gallon of soap.

Nonetheless, I have tried or even read much about Mr Pink. My washes are generally maintenance washes to clean up dust, pollen, etc., and rarely any heavy or caked on crud.
By the wife some Megs at Walmart and stick with Snowfoam for your use. That's pretty much what I've always done.

Thaks, guys. I just want to make sure I am not buying a soap that interferes with the fast finish...

I'm leaning towards hyperwash, though with the 16oz bottle of honeydew I have now, I liked the way it foamed and clung.
Appreciate the quick feedback.
Oh weekend warrior with a 2 car fleet, lol.
30 dollars is a lot for a gallon of good soap? I thought that was cheap

When you consider the price of a soap, also consider what you're asking it to do. It's job is to clean your car, without upsetting whatever protection you have on it, unless you're trying to strip it off. It should be Ph-balanced, with good cleaning power and good lubricity. If you want 'shaving cream' consistency, some decent soaps out there do not give you that. Are they less effective for the job at hand?...not necessarily.
30.00 a gallon is a good price, but only comparatively cheap for a quality car wash soap. You can get Griots Garage Brilliant Shine for around 10.00 per half-gallon, if you watch for sales at Autozone or Pep Boys. It's a good soap, but not nearly as 'high foaming' as Honeydew out of the foam cannon. Same goes for Meguiars Gold Class, lower price point, not as good out of a cannon. Compare that with higher-priced soaps, such as McKees Extreme Foam, which retails for 47.99 a gallon. Very nice foam out of a cannon, but pretty pricey.

I'm thinking Ill get Meguiars Hyperwash. Seems to foam well and appears to work well with Megs other wax and sealant products.

Apex Detail has a great series on shampoos. He shows them through different foamers. Talks about lubricity. Can find him on y tube.
