Re: who has used Aquartz titanium
I used it way back. I still have about 1/2 a bottle of the red and black bottled coatings. Can't remember which is which right now. The Aquartz Reload was very good, very durable and not finicky during application, but I haven't purchased any Aquartz products for probably at least 8 years. It is meant to layer and is recommended that you apply 2-3 layers of each coating. It is very easy to apply. I had it on my own car years ago for a about a year. It protects very well from water spots and bird poop, but it was not super hydrophobic at all really. More like a good sealant. The tight beading came from the Reload. I've been disappointed with the recent reincarnations of Carpro's Reload. Seems to be less and less durable. I may have to retry the Aquartz Reload.
When I purchased my own car in 2013, I took the wheels off and coated them with Opticoat 2.0. I coated the inner hub of the rotor that was painted with a primer like paint with a few coats of both the Aquartz coatings. The car has 40K on it now and the inner hub of the rotor still has not rusted. I did the same on my wife's 323i wagon rotors when I replaced them about 14 months ago and they still show no sign of rusting.
So I have been keeping it around all these years for little projects like that. I coated my new Troy-Bilt lawn mower with it a few years ago too.
