    Flexzilla Garden Hose

    Hey all,
I am in need of a new garden hose. I see great reviews on them, but, I see a few different models. So what one should I go with?
    Or
Is there a better one I should be considering?

I've got the 50 footer for my garage. I really like it. Considering I often use it during the winter, it doesn't get stiff like other hoses, remaining nice and flexible. It does kink but not enough to be a bother. Best hose I've used.

    Re: Flexzilla Garden Hose

I have a Flexzilla Hose. It’s the standard 50’ garden hose. I went outside and took some pics to show what to expect.

Here it is with the water pressure off.

    Now the water’s turn on.

Now I begin to walk it out...

See how those minor kinks develop?

    Kinks still there...

Ok now I’ve walked the hose out it’s entire 50’ and those 3 kinks are still there.

It’s not until You either twist the hose around a couple few times that they’ll go away. In this case I was being stubborn and just kept pulling until they finally unkinked which was hard enough to feel uncomfortable like I could maybe do some damage at the other end.

That’s how Flexzilla hose perfrms every single time ever since the day I bought it. Is it a bad hose? No. It’s lighter than any other hose I’ve used, it does coil way easier than other hoses, it looks nice, hasn’t leaked or shown any signs of weakness, it’s not sensitive to the water pressure being left on with the valve closed for extended periods of time like some other hoses.

Overall I’m happy.. Just don’t expect it to magically unkink itself like they show in their video. I’d like to know what kind of shenanigans they pulled to make that hose do that in their offical vid.Flexzilla Garden Hose

I remember reading your post when you first got this, Eldo.

Good to hear it's still working, and good to hear the REAL review, not the bogus sales pitch.

    Re: Flexzilla Garden Hose

Take a good look at Zero-G Hoses. Lightweight Water Hose - zero-G

I have 2-50' and 2-100' sections in 5/8" (Grey) and a 100' in 1/2" (Blue). I keep all of it coiled up in a 5 Gal bucket. I have yet to damage one or have a failure in the last three year with almost daily use. They are a bit cheaper that the Flexzillas and have a 5-year warranty if i remember right. There are also some other brands popping up with similar designs from Goodyear, Stanley and a couple others.
But for the weight, and compactness and flexibility I wouldn't use another hose. They sometimes do kink if not coiled up right, but a quick snap will fix it easily.

Wrap the hose up using the over and under method. I was commercial diver for years and this is how dive rigs are coiled up. I coil my hoses up and extension cords this way. Cords get finished up different but coiled the same.
We never called them kinks. We called them a specific body part.

    Re: Flexzilla Garden Hose

Really is no trouble. Doesn't take any longer then doing it any other way. You can coil it on the ground and then hang it.
Nothing drives me crazy like hose kinks or cords that get a mess when you try to use them.
