If you presoak a section with D114, presoak a section with N-914, and presoak a section with ONR (all at waterless wash ratio). Waited a few minutes for the presoak to start breaking down the dirt, then proceeded to pressure washed them off the paint, would one actually be a better cleaner than another?

We know some car soaps when foamed onto a vehicle provide a good amount of cleaning ability while other soaps are virtually useless as a presoak. I am just curious if there is actually a measurable difference in the cleaning ability of our favorite rinseless washes.

What I really want to know is if D114 & N-914 actually CLEAN more than other rinseless washes OR do we just say they are "better cleaners" because they are more concentrated and don't leave any gloss enhancers, silicones, or waxes behind & therefore technically leaving the paint "cleaner".
I was told recently that the RWs don't work well as pre-soaks. I'm not sure as I've never tried it. Now I'm curious...

P21s TAW in a foam cannon seems like a good option, but I'm also curious how something like Hyper Wash would do in comparison........

What exactly is ONR leaving behind that N-914 doesn't?

Good question. I was referring specifically to ONR Wash & Shine.

    Here’s my take:

ONR Wash & Shine contains polymers
(that are, more or less, specific to this
    Optimum product’s formulation) which,
by forming a molecular bond to the
surface: are then left behind—as in the
    form of a polymer film-layer.

-These bonded polymers, in turn, provide
for a level of shine enhancement and pro-
tection that is, IMO, comparable to that of
some Detail Sprays; ie: short-term; yet still
altering an existing LSP’s appearance and/or
    characteristics.

    ************************************

    McKee’s 37’s N-914, on the other hand,
has been formulated so it does not alter
    an LSP’s appearance/characteristics.
