When hack detailers put 16oz of tire shine on one tire an it looks like crap and slings up the side of the car. Oh, and it's a lways a cheap oil based product that degrades the tire material.

    For me--cords!

Always getting hung up on something
Walking around the car, it occasionally unplug itself
    Getting twisted often
    Tripping over them
    snagging on my roller/stool

    Another---"forgetting something"

Did I just buffed that section out??
Where is that dang thing I put down? (this always drives me crazy to no end!)
After getting down on the ground and ready to go, polish is just out of reach.

I agree with a lot already mentioned here! But for me, its the Help/Advice. I don't know how many time I've given advice on how to do something or a product, for them to do the opposite. Or do a complete job on a family members car just being a nice guy, just to have them run it thru the swirl-o-matic every 3 days because they what to keep it "clean".

There are many but one I can't stand is when someone asks the cost to detail their vehicle then proceeds to complain about the price.

"Why is it so expensive? I have a Groupon for the car wash. They'll do the whole car inside and out for $60.".

Oh yeah, that's a big one. I was just thinking yesterday that the next big successful polisher will be a battery operated one. I don't mind having to switch batteries as often as I switch pads. Not having a cord would be great.

The other day my friend said his car needs a detail. Asked me how much I think it will cost to have it done and before I said anything he suggested "About $80?" I laughed and told him that if it's that little the service will suck horribly. Decent job will cost way more than that.

Front bumpers. Ugh I hate them on just about every vehicle. From little nooks and spots where a buffer can sling stuff to the many areas of trim that need done and can lead to smudges over a freshly buffed area they are a complete pain. Not to mention with lots of sandblasting bits and marks on the front that tend to hold compound and polish that then need removed, etc. The only upside is they usually don't entail much surface area but the downside is they are loaded with small intricate detail areas that require attention.

I just washed my father in law’s 2016 F150. I don’t think the front bumper had ever been hand washed. I probably spent 20-30 minutes just removing bug guts. Yeah, bumpers suck!
