2011 Chevy Tahoe Exterior Door Ding Guards

First thanks to everyone for all the knowledge sharing and seemingly good bunch of folks. It's refreshing to see.

Ok... My 2011 Chevy Tahoe has the door ding guards... not sure correct term. They always run "dirty" water out after it's dried. Like dirt has just accumulated and comes out with water help. Even after I blow them out it will slowly run out over night. Frustrating.

Two part question, can I remove them to clean behind them? If so how to remove and replace?

Second, the dirt directly under the guards is black almost like adhesive residue... not sure. I've tried apc and ipa and lacquer thinner and 3m adhesive remover. Any ideas how to get that out?

Try pressure washer from from the bottom then the top. I removed them on a Silverado and that dirt had worn thru the clear from vibrations along the edges under those guards. You may find that just washing from the top and bottom with the pressure washer will solve the issue or may need a little help with one of these Famous Detailing Brush

Thanks for the reply... I have that brush but didn't try the pressure washer. I guess I'll leave it on just wanted it off there. I'll let ya know if it works. Polishing now. Next wash I'll take the wand to it.
