    New Bumper painted.

The body shop recommended to wait at least 2 months before applying any kind of polish or wax to bumper.. Is this about right?

Feel strange only washing this bumper

Check with the manufacturer of the paint. Usually 30 days is all it takes to gas-off, especially in summer. You can compound and polish it once you get the car home. Stick with silicoln free products. AAT505 is what I used to polish after compounding and it contains a nice sealant too. Meg's makes a detail spray Final Touch that is safe after washes.
