Has anyone used a spritz of Hydro Blue on a VERY wet surface as a drying aid?

This past Sunday I used hydro blue after my wash. Ii is over BF spray sealant. Figure they are both Si02 based. Results were great. No issues.

Seems like a more economical way to use it. Same with Meguiars Ceramic Wax....it works best on a very wet surface as a drying aid.

As a drying aid I would think NO. It needs the pressure of a strong jet of water to activate.

I have a hard time believing that. I get that it needs water. All the "strong jet" does is disperse the product. If you are working with a very wet surface and spritz the product on then wipe with a damp towel, you are also dispersing it before a final wipe dry. There's about a 60 minute video with a Meguiars rep that even states that this is "his favorite" way of using Ceramic Wax. Hydro Blue should work the same way.
I'm going to test it this weekend.

Hydro Blue is a water activated formulation with microscopic nano polymeric siloxane technology. When applied to the rinse water the tiny polymeric microns instantly attach themselves to the surface to form a hydrophobic nano coating. Applying the final rinse water solidifies the remaining micron particles and removes any unwanted contaminates left on the surface.

Nick, does the runoff from blasting it with water coat the areas that didn't get sprayed in the initial application?

YES. That is the beauty of it. By blasting it with a strong jet of water it gets on all surrounding surfaces. Here is Nicks updated video (2018) on the proper application of Hydro Blue.
