Need More Cut-Tried HD Speed with LC CCS Orange

2001 Porsche Boxster, Orient Red. Paint is in bad shape. I tried HD Speed with a Lake Country CCS Orange pad. Got about 50% better. What should I step up to? Want to tackle this tomorrow so I am limited to products I can purchase locally, included 3D which is local to me. Products I already have that I can try:

    1. Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover
    2. Meguires Ultimate Compound
    3. Buy HD Cut today

I would do a test spot with the Wolfgang and see where that gets you. Start with a white pad and then try with orange if you're still not getting the results you want. You might need a compound like UC or HD Cut, but just be aware that after using those products you may end up with compounding haze that needs to be polished out with a lighter polish to get a nice shine from the paint.

Testing different combinations of pads and products will help you lock in the best combination.

maybe give a call to places like autozone, discount auto parts, pep boys or even wal mart---They may carry Meguiars microfiber cutting pads or even the whole kit. Kit here to show the one I am talking about. Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System 5 Inch Starter Kit, paint correction kit, dual action polishing kit

Give that article a read. You will learn tons.

If you want the car perfect OR the best as possible, You never use a All-In-One, 30-60% improvement is what the polish is designed for.

if you want to bring the paint to its maximum potential using compound + polish is the route you need to go.

Meguiars m100 is my go to compound it's not very expensive and cuts fast and leave a good finish only a light polish to finish off.

I'd give HD Cut + a shot, FYI:

    HD Adapt Discontinued
Posted by David Fermani on August 1, 2016 in Detailing Made Simple, News & Events | 0 comments

After very long consideration, 3D has decided to discontinue HD Adapt in an effort to “keep detailing simple” by narrowing down our polishing compound offerings. Unlike many other detail product companies, it has been our mission to not complicate our customers with repetitive polishes and compounds. That is why we have worked tirelessly to make our compounds and polishes not only produce quick, heavy cutting power, but also produce a resulting finish that is second to none. When HD Cut+ was reintroduced a short time ago, it inherited many of the attributes that were pioneered with the HD Adapt technology (Adaptive Abrasive Technology AAT). After much testing, we have been able to mimic both the cutting & finishing abilities that were accomplished with Adapt with the new HD Cut+ as well as the 3D AAT Finishing Polish in most paint correction & polishing comparison scenarios. As with all polishing compounds, pad selection as well as technique is the key to achieve optimal results, but final outcome should remain the same, if not better. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
