Do I need to do a step after polish and before Hydro Blue?

Depends on what polish you are using. Most polishes have oils and need to cleaned before applying a LSP.

So anyone think I need to wipe the oils from Griots.

If so...can I use N-914 diluted to panel wipe

    Re: Hydro Blue

You can use concentrated N914. I think your best bet, however, is to use a paint prep solution such as Gtechniq Panel Wipe, Gyeon Prep, CarPro Eraser or isopropyl alcohol. The prep solution should be lightly buffed so as to avoid scratching or swirling the paint you just corrected! While the silica sprays will bond to the surface of just about anything, you will get longer life out of the coating if it bonds to bare paint (i.e., the clear coat alone).

Perfection is attained by slow degrees; it requires the hand of time. (Voltaire)
