    Gyeon primer vs carpros essence

So how similar are these as far as cut goes? I like using essence for a base before mckees paint coating but wondering how primer would do.

I don't understand this in the Gyeon Primer instructions

"If you intend to apply a paint coating directly after using GYEON Q2 Primer, an IPA wipe down will be necessary. However, if you wait 24 hours after using GYEON Q2 Primer, no wipe down is necessary."

If still have to do a wipe down prior to coating, then why are they calling it a primer? Also, it doesn't mention anything about filling like essence does.

I don't see fillers but it says it polishes and I'm more concerned about that then filling. As long as it as a decent polish and then it coat ready I think it would be great if it's an improvement over essence

That doesn't make any sense to me either.

If you have to wipe it down with an IPA directly after polishing what are we removing? Polishing oils? Fillers that need time to bond?

If you wait 24 hours and you are good to go with coating the paint without a wipe down, what is left behind on the surface that had a chance to setup/dry that didn't need to be removed 24 hours earlier?

Just sounds a bit odd to me.
