Re: FLEX PE8 Kompakt bleeding oil
I had the same problem with 2 of my FLEX polishers.
I called the service department, they said to send them both back to the service center (at my cost), but they would give me no time estimate on when they might be returned.
Not a very good attitude from the service center (IMO). Kind of wanted to make me look elsewhere for my next polisher!!!

Mine went into service over the winter. It was having an rpm issue. Service note said magnet loose. It also said the the housing was leaking, 'fixed', no idea how it was fixed. I waited a couple weeks for mine, not a big deal for me in the winter.
Check out their website, there maybe a local service center close to you so you don't have to ship it. They will likely have a faster turn around too.

Or you could always reinvest in a Griots Lifetime Warrantied Polisher LOL.
PS I have a PE 8, I hate it and never used it again after the first time. Wasted my money.

Mine is working normally but I don't feel safe anymore with this oil coming out. I guess I'll try to send it to see what it can be done.
custmsprty, I guess I'll go back using my GG6 with 3" BP in the meantime .
Thanks for the responses guys, will keep update this post in case someone else happens to get this issue too.

Re: FLEX PE8 Kompakt bleeding oil
I have zero first hand experience with this problem. This said, to my knowledge these things don't have "oil" in them. They're packed with grease. I would think if you're seeing this the grease is melting down and running out. Hence, I would wonder if this machine is getting too hot.
When it comes to a persons worth, money is a lousy way to keep score.

I went to my parents home (in another state) which is hot a humidity is high 95 °F (36°C). Could be that the root of this issue? I always use this machine at speed 1.
And if is just grease, then maybe I should be that worried at all? or should be re-greaed? .
