duragloss 105/601 combo is hands-down the most durable sealant you can buy from market. if you really follow the instructions and combo 105 with 601 perfectly you will get close to a year. I don't think any other sealant comes near to that point. some coatings, although claimed to last up to 1 year or so, even fail earlier than 105/601.

However, if you use 105 alone, at least to me, it seems the longevity is quite compromised. I will say a few months, which is still impressive.

I agree 100% That is what I use. The Duragloss 105/601 combo. Put it on in February and is still beading water and super shiny. My car sits out side 27/7.

So my Vote is the Duragloss 105/601 combo.

Glad you like that combo, but try swappin' out the #105 for #111 and watch what happens!

I've used 111 before. Liking the 105 better. With 111 there is more prep work to be done. 105 has cleaners in it and 111 don't.

This is true but in terms of longevity, #111 is a pure sealant, no cleaners and because of this alone it's going to outlast #105, just sayin'.

Mine lasted over 1 year. But trying 105 at the moment.

The only thing about topping is that you change the looks, yeah add some extra protection but change the looks and in this case you really don't wanna change how #111 looks because it's sooooo good with #111!

Hi all,

I have a new car, and wanting to "protect" it as long as possible.

I don't mind too much about "color enhancement" that carnauba does... more into "longest lasting" protection.

1) Lasts the longest between re-applications (1-2x per year)
2) Longest durability (harder to remove between washes)
3) Hydrophobic properties (ehh... don't care too much)

** I have a TON of Meguiars Xpress Synthetic wax to use (2 gallons)
** I plan on waterless wash my car 1-2x per month

So... which synthetic sealant do you think will last the longest between applications?

Oops... forgot to add "Adams Paint Sealant" to the poll!

Personally I would go with Sonax PNS and top it with Brilliant Shine Detailer (which lasts almost 3 months on its own).

Meguiars Xpress wax doesn't play well with PNS.

Since you have 2 gallons of it I would use Meguairs Ultimate Wax or something else that is compatible with it. Synergistic compatability as Mike says.

Without going to look at my bottles I'll take your word for this but it doesn't make sense as #111 is a pure sealant.
