anyone use a dash cam?

I am using Lukas for about a year now with external battery pack. No accident so far, but I do check the video every week make sure it's working ok. Personally I prefer one with screen so that I can easily check it. I know some of the has WIFI option rather than lcd, or maybe both, but I got lcd without wifi. It does have a good parking mode, either motion sensor record with preburffer or timelapes.
Since I set external battery between dash cam and car fuse, whenever I turn off the engine, it starts using external battery power rather than car battery for parking mode.

The reason I spend a lot money is because I had hit and run at mall parking lots, it's small local shopping mall, no cctv. I spent $800 to fix my car.

Will do. It'll be a couple weeks before I get back to TX. FYI, www.carcamcentral.com does great reviews on dash cams...he has a 15-minute review on his website worth checking out.

Post your findings I'm thinking about the 770 as well.
