How do I remove scratches from plastic trim?

The plastic trim in my dads xts has some light surface scratches. Is there anything I can use to remove the scratches?

Can't tell by your photo. Only see tree's.

I've had good luck with 3M Plastic polish for light scratches. Use it on my plastic face watches to make them look new again.

If it's the wood or the shiny black, I'm really surprised the Ultimate Polish didn't help if they are light. How did you apply/work?

sorry but that is the best I could do for a picture. The fake would trim has the fine scratches. I used the ultimate polish with the lake county white pad. I used the hand held pad. I also have the 5 1/2 inch orange pad that I may try. I also have plastic x that I will try later.
