Stupid question but, is there any special break in procedure I need to know about for the hose? I guess I just want to take care of it and prevent it from getting some kind of permanent kink or something.

In my humble opinion? Nope.
It is a workhorse. I've seen guys at the marina slather it in WD-40, suntan lotion (!), and even wax.
Only to be disappointed in how it adversely affected it.
I use mine, drain it, coil it in a big (not tight) loop, and hang it in my basement. Bought mine at HD in 2004.
Cool, this is the 1st time I've ever been excited about a garden hose. Lol

100' of Flexzilla and the beautifully manufactured, packaged, and warrantied Rapid reel
I somehow overlooked this thread, just read through it. Reading all these good things about the Flexzilla, I popped over to Amazon to check it out. Watched the video, looked interesting. A couple questions for those that own or have owned one.
1. Is it really that flexible? Like in the video, when she wraps it around her forearm?
Just took a minute and skimmed some reviews.
2. Anyone experience a mold problem that some spoke of?
FWIW. I got a Neverkink 100 ft from Lowes 8 years ago. I took awhile for it to get seasoned, very stiff at first, now very limp. And yes it does kink from time to time, overall pretty happy, but always looking for a new toy!
The same day I ordered the hose I went into Wally World to pickup a certain fuel additive after watching a Scotty Kilmer video and being totally convinced it was a great idea... While I was in there I went to check out the car product isle and I see a "50' car wash hose" for $7... My 1st thought was holy crap $7?! That's cheap!
But I quickly reminded myself the Flexzilla has to be way better than that cheapo hose.[emoji57] Plus I think I got a good deal on it, $32 + free shipping.
