Lint? Speckles left behind from microfiber?

    Hi All,

It seems I have troubles with something being left behind after drying/buffing. It doesn't seem to matter what towel i'm using, or what surface. I've tried different types of things but am always seemingly left with this. I have attached a picture for example. This is after I used my brand new waterless wash kit from Pinnacle and the towels included in the kit which were brand new out of the bag. For what its worth this happens with my other towels that have been washed with microfiber detergent as well.

I've got some great results on cars i've been practicing on. This seemingly simple thing is frustrating. What am I doing wrong?

Depending on the density/nap of the towel, oftentimes it may take a ~couple~ of washings for them to stop linting. Always wash brand new mf's - don't use them out of the bags. It helps..

Always wash new MF towels before use.
Wash cold with a Micro-Restore. DO NOT wash MF towels with other clothing or other cotton/terry products.
Dry in low-heat for 30 minutes, roll with lint roller, fold and store in a dry bin with a lid to prevent dust.

I'll be sure to wash the new MF prior to use from now on.

Otherwise i'm following all the instructions minus the lint rolling part.

    I'll keep trying.

I will have to try the lint roller. I was just saying I hadn't tried that up to this point.

+1 on the lint roller. Since Mike suggested the lint rolling, I've get a healthy amount of rollers around just to keep my towels as lint free as possible.

I wash in warm water. The warm water will break up waxes and other products that are on the towels. Warm, not hot.

Nono, I think this is something else the OP is suggesting. I believe I have the same problem. It always happens when the towel is wet. Try going over the surface again with a dry towel. Even make a couple of "towel passes" it should come right off

I almost always am following up with a dry towel. Who knows ill experiment with the lint roller and some other things. I may not have anything conclusive for a bit since its getting colder now, although I did just order some uber rinse-less . I appreciate the responses.
